From A2 to B1
This course helps you move from simple sentences to using Dutch independently in real-life situations. Based on the themes and activities in De sprong, you will develop your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while expanding your vocabulary and consolidating B1-level grammar.
Who This Course Is For
Learners Who Already Have an A2 Level
You understand simple texts and conversations and can communicate in familiar situations, but you want to speak more accurately, confidently, and in greater detail. This course will help you organize your knowledge and move to the next level.
People Living, Studying, or Working in the Netherlands
You need Dutch to communicate with colleagues and neighbors, discuss education and work, handle everyday matters, and participate in society. You will practise the language in recognizable real-life contexts.
Learners Who Need More Speaking Practice
You know grammar rules but cannot always apply them while speaking. During the course, you will discuss relevant topics, express opinions, respond to others, and gradually overcome the language barrier.
What You Will Gain from the Course
This course helps you make a genuine transition from A2 to B1. You will not simply learn new words and rules; you will learn to use them in spoken and written communication.
- Confident Speaking Skills You will be able to maintain longer conversations, ask follow-up questions, express opinions, agree, and disagree on familiar and socially relevant topics.
- A Broader Vocabulary You will learn vocabulary related to education and careers, housing and neighborhoods, weather and geography, media, society, politics, and art.
- Structured B1 Grammar You will consolidate word order and verb tenses and work with modal and reflexive verbs, conjunctions, reported speech, relative clauses, comparative forms, and other B1-level structures.
- Better Listening Comprehension You will become more confident in understanding conversations, phone calls, opinions, and messages spoken at a natural pace while identifying key information.
- Reading and Writing Skills You will work with functional texts and current materials and complete practical writing tasks for real-life situations.
- The Confidence to Use Dutch Independently You will be better equipped to handle everyday tasks in Dutch and continue learning at B1 level.
